Villiger Limited Release No. 041 & 049 The VLR No. 049 is a 6 x 52 toro that uses an Ecuadorian habano oscuro wrapper over a Mexican San Andrés binder and fillers from Nicaragua. It is produced at Villiger de Nicaragua, the company’s factory in Nicaragua that is run with assistance from neighboring Joya de Nicaragua.
By contrast, the VLR No. 051 is made at ABAM Cigars S.R.L. in the Dominican Republic. It’s a 6 5/8 x 52 toro extra with a 109-style cap, a hybrid between the round cap of a normal robusto and the pointed tip of a belicoso. Blend-wise, it uses an Ecuadorian habano wrapper over a Dominican binder and Dominican fillers.
