Handmade at J.C. Newman’s PENSA factory in Nicaragua, the Yagua Robusto features an underfermented Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos. Unlike traditional premium cigars, Yagua cigars are rolled without conventional molds or presses. While the tobacco is still moist, bundles of cigars are tightly wrapped together using leaves from the Yagua palm, giving every cigar its own slightly different shape and appearance.

After rolling, the cigars are aged for approximately one year, allowing the unusual wrapper and Nicaraguan tobaccos to develop their rich character. Expect a medium-bodied profile with notes of coffee, cedar, earth, pepper, natural sweetness, and cocoa.
