TATUAJE SURROGATES BACKLINE 2025

The other two cigars are part of the new Tatuaje Surrogates BackLine 2025, which has roots in music. Dan Welsh, a co-founder of L’Atelier, was replacing a tube in one of his guitar amps and he realized that the top of the tube had a similar shape to some of the heads on certain cigars. Noting that the amp has two different tubes—one is a preamp—there are two different sizes that come in a singular box that is designed to look like a VOX amp.

Each box contains 20 cigars, 1 of each vitola:

• Surrogates Back Line EL454 (4 x 54) — (Box of 10)
• Surrogates Back Line EL554 (5 x 54) — (Box of 10)

Blend-wise, it uses an Ecuadorian habano wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan fillers. This is expected ot be an annual release that is inspired by a different brand of guitar amp. This particular blend is described as medium-full and clean, the latter a reference to VOX.

Production is limited to 1,000 boxes.
