Padron 60th Anniversary Cigars: Now Available at Miami Humidor. The Padron 60th Anniversary is a Nicaraguan puro that is offered in two wrapper options, one a natural and the other a maduro. When the cigar was announced in March, Jorge Padrón said that the company approached its blend the same way it does with all of its cigars, to simply make it taste good.
It is offered in a perfecto vitola that measures 6 inches long and has a ring gauge that spans from 48 at its most slender to 56 at its thickest, and unlike the box press that most of the company’s higher-end releases get, these cigars are round.
Each cigar is presented in a coffin, with 10 cigars per box.
While the Padrón 60th Anniversary will be an ongoing release, production is also extremely limited, as just one pair is producing the cigars at Tabacos Cubanica S.A., the company’s factory in Estelí, Nicaragua. Padrón declined to say how many cigars were released in this first shipment, other than it was not a large amount. He did say that they will continue to be released little by little, with another release slated to occur in the next three to four weeks.
